About Above the Waves Counselling

Ocean

Our Story

The name Above the Waves Counselling was inspired by the the song,"Oceans"by Hillsong United which encourages us to keep our eyes above the waves in the midst of difficult times. You may feel like your present situation will never change, or like the pain and suffering you are experiencing will not end. If you are feeling overwhelmed or like all is lost today, be encouraged to hold on to hope and refuse to give up.

Storms in life will come and go and it is common to feel anxious, afraid, worried, powerless and sad when we face suffering and trials. If you can shift your perspective, recognise how adversity builds strength, look at the big picture, and find direction in spite of challenging circumstances you are on the path to finding lasting peace, joy, and hope that surpasses your present situation. In this world you will have troubles, but there is hope in spite of difficulty. May you refuse to give up, recognise this too shall eventually pass, reach out for help if you need it, and fix your gaze on the possibility that awaits you above the waves.
